My
name is Earthy, and I was sent here by the leaders
of the galaxy to help you with your new operation called "Kids
and Youth saving the world".
Before
coming here I took a spin around the globe ,you know, to check things
out. Well, what can I say, we've got our work cut out for us, but
before we start, let me tell you a little about what I found out.
In the
last 30 years, the number of people in the world has almost doubled.
That means that there are now 6,000,000,000 (six
billion) people living together on one planet, and that's
more people than you or I can imagine.
You won't believe the mess 6,000,000,000 people can make, especially
if they don't obey the laws. The biggest problem that I found is
a huge hole in the ozone layer. For
those of you who don't know, the ozone layer is a sort of screen
that protects us and shields us from some of the suns more harmful
rays.
This hole
was caused by people who didn't obey the laws. For years they have
built industries and factories that pollute the atmosphere with
poisonous gases and dangerous chemicals that burn through the ozone
layer, gases and chemicals that are very harmful to human beings
and animals that live on this planet.
However,
that isn't the only problem. There are more villains that I have
discovered. One of them is "Nukie",
who feeds and grows stronger from eating dangerous radio-active
waste, and "Airpo" who silently
gobbles up all kinds of dangerous gases and harmful radiation and
grows more evil with each smelly breath.
These
two are growing stronger every day and they are just waiting for
their chance to destroy Earth and all the green
grass, flowers, trees and animals on it. Our mission is to
stop "Nukie" and "Airpo"
and all the other villains who are threatening our planet and home.
For this
I call upon you to join me and save our planet. To join us, all
that you have to do is send a postcard to the leader of your country
according to the operational guidelines.
Everyone who sends a postcard will receive the special rank of "First
Class Brain". The more brains we have, the stronger
we will be and our chances of stopping the damage to our world will
grow. Even now, thousands of more brains from all over the world
are joining us, and together we will call out to the leaders of
the world to meet and work together immediately to preserve our
planet. So come on, what are you waiting for? Just do it!
